Our Story

The Eve began with a simple idea: Create the kind of place we'd want to spend our own time.

The Eve is a family story, but hospitality has been part of ours for a long time. Caz spent more than two decades immersed in it, from everyday service to world-class events, and over the years we formed a pretty clear idea of the kind of place we’d want to create if we ever got the chance. When The Eve came along, we did.

The Eve has grown into far more than we ever expected.

We’ve watched first-time customers become regulars, and regulars become friends. We’ve seen families return week after week, watched their kids grow, celebrated birthdays and milestones, and become part of the everyday moments that make a community feel like home.

Along the way, our own team has grown too. People have joined us, learned with us and helped shape The Eve into what it is today. Every busy morning, long lunch and celebration has added another little piece to the story.

We’re incredibly proud of the awards and recognition The Eve has received, but the part we value most can’t be hung on a wall. It’s knowing someone’s coffee before they order it. It’s seeing familiar faces walk through the door. It’s the conversations across the counter and the people who have chosen to make The Eve part of their lives.

We’re still family owned, still independent and still building The Eve one day at a time. And after everything that has changed, that sense of connection is still the part that means the most.

What we stand for

Three things we never compromise

Hospitality first

Hospitality is personal, It's knowing the familiar faces, remembering your coffee and making people feel looked after from the moment they walk in.

Quality, always

From the coffee and kitchen to the bar, we care about what we put in front of you. Good ingredients, great products and attention to the details that make a difference.

Details matter

There is care in every detail. How the room feels, how the tables are set, how the food arrives and how you are looked after.
